Answers to common questions about using and caring for EcoFlow equipment. This is a general guide compiled from official EcoFlow materials. We are not an authorized EcoFlow service center.

The specifications and requirements of different models vary. For exact figures for your station, refer to its user manual.

Where to start after buying a station?

Read the user manual for your model carefully. Install the EcoFlow app, add your station and check for firmware updates. Detailed requirements for your model are in the user manual in the EcoFlow app or on manuals.ecoflow.com.

How do I update the firmware?

Updates are installed through the EcoFlow app. The manufacturer advises checking for updates every few months: they fix bugs and can improve charging. Do not disconnect the station or close the app until the update has finished.

How is EPS mode different from UPS?

In both modes the station sits between the socket and your devices and switches them to the battery when mains power is lost. The difference is the switching speed. According to EcoFlow, DELTA 2 has an EPS mode with switching of up to 30 ms, and the DELTA 3 series has a UPS mode with switching of up to 10 ms.

EPS is usually enough for a fridge, lighting or a boiler. For computers, NAS and other sensitive electronics EcoFlow recommends models with UPS-grade fast switching. The switching time of your model is in the specifications on the product page or in the manual.

How do I store the station if I do not use it for a long time?

General EcoFlow recommendations: do not leave the station in storage fully discharged — this can permanently damage the battery. Store it in a dry place at about 0–25 °C and check and top it up periodically, every 3–6 months.

The storage charge level and the cycle frequency depend on the model. For example, for DELTA Pro the manufacturer advises fully charging the station every 3 months and then discharging it to 60%. For some models EcoFlow warns that storing without charging for more than 6 months may void the warranty. Detailed requirements for your model are in the user manual in the EcoFlow app or on manuals.ecoflow.com.

The charge percentage is inaccurate. What should I do?

EcoFlow advises calibrating the battery: power a device from the station until it is fully discharged and switches off, then charge it without a break to 100% from a socket. Do this no more than once every 2–3 months — extra deep discharges wear the battery faster. Also check for firmware updates in the app.

Can I use the station while it is charging?

Yes, EcoFlow stations can power devices while charging. But part of the input power then goes to the load, so the station charges more slowly. For the fastest charging, disconnect your devices.

At what temperature can I charge the station?

According to EcoFlow, portable stations work best at about 20–30 °C. Charging in freezing weather (below 0 °C) harms the lithium battery, and when it overheats the battery management system (BMS) temporarily stops charging until the station cools down. The exact operating temperature ranges for charging and discharging are given in your model’s specifications.

Can I connect solar panels from other manufacturers?

Yes, provided the connector is compatible and the open-circuit voltage (Voc) and current of the panel (or of the whole array) do not exceed the limits of your station’s solar input. The input range is given in the station’s specifications. Please note: the EcoFlow warranty does not cover damage caused by third-party panels or accessories.

How long will my device run from the station?

Roughly: divide the station capacity in Wh by the device power in W. The real time will be shorter because of conversion losses, and for devices with a compressor (fridge, pump) the power varies. While running, the station itself shows the remaining time estimate — on the screen and in the app.

The station shows an error or will not turn on. What should I do?

Disconnect all devices and charging sources and try turning the station on again. If there is an error code on the screen or in the app, find its description in your model’s manual. Update the firmware. Do not disassemble the station yourself. If the problem remains — contact us and state the model, the error code and when it appeared.

How do I make a warranty claim?

Write or call us via the Contacts page. Prepare the order number, the model and serial number, a description of the problem, and a photo or video — this helps the manager guide you through the next steps faster. The EcoFlow manufacturer’s warranty is 5 years unless a different term is stated in the product specifications.

Where can I find the user manual?

Official EcoFlow manuals are available in the EcoFlow app and on manuals.ecoflow.com. If you cannot find the manual for your model, write to us.
