How to choose a TRAIL station
- Minimum weight. TRAIL 200 DC weighs 1.83 kg and has two USB-C ports — 140 W and 100 W — so it can charge even a powerful laptop.
- 12 V car appliances. Connect a car fridge or another device with a cigarette-lighter plug to TRAIL 300 DC or TRAIL Plus 300 DC: they have a 12 V socket up to 120 W.
- Charging from the sun. TRAIL 300 DC and TRAIL Plus 300 DC have an XT60 input up to 110 W for a solar panel or cigarette lighter. TRAIL 200 DC has no such input.
- Camping in the evening. TRAIL Plus 300 DC has a built-in lantern, a removable handle that is also a 140 W USB-C cable, and control through the EcoFlow app.
Estimated run time: multiply the capacity by 0.85 and divide by the device power. For example, a 60 W laptop runs from a 288 Wh station for about 4 hours.
How to charge TRAIL
From the mains, TRAIL charges only via USB-C; there is no separate 230 V input. According to the product pages, TRAIL 200 DC charges from 0 to 80% in 57 minutes from two 100 W power supplies, and TRAIL 300 DC and TRAIL Plus 300 DC in 1.9 hours from a 140 W supply. The USB-C power supply is not included; a powerful laptop charger will do.
If you need appliances with a 230 V plug at home, look at the compact RIVER stations or DELTA stations. Panels for charging on the road are in the EcoFlow solar panels section.
Frequently asked questions about EcoFlow TRAIL
Can I connect a device with a 230 V plug to TRAIL?
No. TRAIL are DC power stations without 230 V outlets. They power devices through USB-C and USB-A, and TRAIL 300 DC and TRAIL Plus 300 DC also through a 12 V car socket. For a kettle, fridge or TV you need a station with outlets, such as RIVER or DELTA.
How do I charge TRAIL?
From the mains, through USB-C with a charger of up to 140 W. TRAIL 300 DC and TRAIL Plus 300 DC also charge through the XT60 input from a solar panel or car cigarette lighter of up to 110 W. The USB-C power supply is not included.
Which TRAIL model should I choose for a hike?
For short hikes with a laptop and a phone, the light TRAIL 200 DC is enough. If you need a 12 V car fridge on the road or charging from the sun, choose TRAIL 300 DC. TRAIL Plus 300 DC adds a lantern, a third USB-C port and control from your phone.
