EcoFlow solar panels for charging your station

A solar panel converts light into electricity and the station stores it in the battery. This way you can charge the station without mains power, during outages or on a trip. The catalogue has panels from 60 to 400 W.

How to choose a solar panel

The higher the panel power in W, the faster it charges the station. In practice a panel delivers only part of its rated power, because the result depends on the sun, the mounting angle and cloud cover. Choose a panel by these criteria:

  • Which station you have: capacity in Wh and maximum solar input. According to the product pages, for RIVER 3 this is up to 110 W, for DELTA 2 and DELTA 3 up to 500 W, for DELTA 2 Max 500–1000 W.
  • Where you will use it: yard, roof, balcony, country house, campsite. For trips, weight and a foldable format matter.
  • How many panels you need: one for slow topping up, several for faster charging. The number is limited by the station’s input.
  • Cables for connection. See EcoFlow accessories.

Compatibility with stations

Solar charging is supported by, among others, RIVER 3, DELTA 2, DELTA 3 and DELTA 2 Max. For the home and a country house DELTA stations are usually chosen. To increase the energy reserve, add extra batteries.

Use cases

  • Blackout: the panel tops up the station during the day, the station powers the fridge and router at night.
  • Country house: charging without mains power, lighting, laptop, tools.
  • Travel: a compact station and a panel in the car boot.

Frequently asked questions about EcoFlow solar panels

Can an EcoFlow station be charged from solar panels?

Yes, RIVER 3, DELTA 2, DELTA 3 and DELTA 2 Max stations support solar charging. The power and number of panels are chosen for the specific station and conditions of use.

How many panels are needed to charge a station?

It depends on the station capacity and the speed you need. One panel charges more slowly, several faster. See the station’s page for exact figures and input limits.

Do panels work in cloudy weather?

They do, but deliver less energy than on a clear day. For stable charging, plan for a power reserve and use the station as a buffer.

Do I need extra cables for the panel?

It depends on the panel and station model. EcoFlow 60W and NextGen 220W Bifacial panels come with a Solar–XT60i cable. For panels with an MC4 connector, the accessories section has a 2.5 m MC4–XT60i cable and a 3 m MC4 extension.
