EcoFlow power stations: three series for different tasks

A power station is a battery with a set of outputs in one case: it powers equipment during blackouts, at a country house or on the road and charges from a socket, solar panels or a car. The catalogue contains EcoFlow stations of three series with a capacity from 192 to 4096 Wh. To buy an EcoFlow power station for your devices, first choose the series and then the model.

Comparison of the DELTA, RIVER and TRAIL series

EcoFlow power station series

DELTA1024–4096 Wh1800–4000 WApartment and house: fridge, boiler, kitchen appliances
RIVER245–768 Wh300–800 WInternet, laptop, lights, country house and trips
TRAIL192–288 Wh220–300 WHiking and car: USB-C up to 140 W, no 230 V outlets

How to choose an EcoFlow power station

A station is chosen by two numbers. Power in W shows which devices can be switched on at the same time. Capacity in Wh determines how long they will run. Estimated run time: multiply the capacity by 0.85 and divide by the device power.

  • Just internet and gadgets. A compact RIVER is enough for a router, phones and a laptop: a 10 W router runs from a 245 Wh station for roughly 20 hours.
  • An apartment during outages. A fridge, lighting and internet need a DELTA station of 1024 Wh or more: DELTA 2, DELTA 3 or DELTA 3 Plus.
  • A house with a boiler and long outages. Choose a DELTA of 2048 Wh or more, or a station with an extra battery.
  • Computer and network storage. Look for fast switching to battery: on DELTA 3 and RIVER 3 Plus it takes less than 10 ms.
  • Hiking and car. TRAIL weighs from 1.83 kg and charges a laptop through USB-C, but devices with a 230 V plug cannot be connected to it.

Capacity expansion and solar panels

Most DELTA stations and RIVER 3 Plus can be extended with an EcoFlow extra battery, so there is no need to buy the largest model straight away. DELTA and RIVER stations, as well as TRAIL 300 DC and TRAIL Plus 300 DC, charge from EcoFlow solar panels. A station together with a panel or battery is in the bundles section.

Frequently asked questions about EcoFlow power stations

Which EcoFlow power station should I choose for an apartment?

For a fridge, router, lighting and a laptop, a DELTA station of 1024 Wh and 1800 W, such as DELTA 2 or DELTA 3, is usually enough. If you only need internet and charging gadgets, a compact RIVER is enough. Add up the power of the devices and the hours you need, then add a reserve.

How do the DELTA, RIVER and TRAIL series differ?

DELTA are stations for the home of 1024–4096 Wh that run a fridge and kitchen appliances. RIVER are compact models of 245–768 Wh for internet, a laptop and trips. TRAIL are light DC stations of 192–288 Wh with no 230 V outlets and USB-C up to 140 W.

Can I increase the station’s capacity later?

Yes, if the model has a connector for an extra battery. Most DELTA stations have one, and among RIVER, RIVER 3 Plus and RIVER 3 Plus Wireless. RIVER 3 and TRAIL stations cannot be expanded. The compatibility of a specific battery is stated on its page.

Can I charge the station from the sun?

Yes. DELTA and RIVER stations have a solar input, as do TRAIL 300 DC and TRAIL Plus 300 DC; TRAIL 200 DC does not. The maximum panel power for each model is stated on its page, and charging speed depends on it.
