EcoFlow DELTA power stations: who they are for and why

EcoFlow DELTA is a line of stations for the home. It powers a fridge, router, lighting, laptop and gas boiler during outages, and also works at a country house and on trips. The stations support capacity expansion with extra batteries and charging from solar panels.

How to choose an EcoFlow DELTA: capacity and power

Power in W shows which devices you can connect. Capacity in Wh determines how long they will run. Approximate run time: multiply the capacity by 0.85 and divide by the device power.

What the station will power during an outage

Approximate run time from a DELTA 2 (1024 Wh). Real figures depend on the device.

  • Wi-Fi router (10 W): about 87 hours.
  • Lighting (60 W): about 15 hours.
  • Laptop (65 W): about 13 hours.
  • TV (110 W): about 8 hours.
  • Fridge (150 W): about 6 hours. The compressor runs in cycles, so the real time depends on the fridge model.
  • Gas boiler (150 W): about 6 hours.
  • Electric kettle (2000 W): about 25 minutes.

For everyday appliances in an apartment, DELTA 2 is usually enough. If you need more powerful devices or a day or more of run time, see DELTA 2 Max.

Solar charging and capacity expansion

DELTA stations can be charged from EcoFlow solar panels. To increase run time, add extra batteries. Choose cables and other parts in the station accessories section. For a comparison with compact models, see the home page.

Frequently asked questions about EcoFlow DELTA

Which DELTA station should I choose for an apartment?

For a fridge, router, lighting and a laptop, DELTA 2 is usually enough. If you need more powerful devices or longer run time, choose DELTA 2 Max. Add up the power of the devices you need and the time you need power for, and add a reserve.

Can the DELTA capacity be expanded?

Yes, DELTA 2, DELTA 3 and DELTA 2 Max support capacity expansion with extra batteries. Check the compatibility of a specific battery on the product page.

Does DELTA work as an uninterruptible power supply?

Yes, DELTA stations have an EPS mode: when the mains power goes off, they switch to the battery on their own. According to the product pages, DELTA 2 switches in 30 ms, DELTA 2 Max in under 20 ms and DELTA 3 in under 10 ms. This suits routers, lighting and other devices that dislike power interruptions.

Can DELTA be charged from solar panels?

Yes, DELTA stations support solar charging. The power and number of panels are chosen for the model; see the solar panels section for details.
